About Dhaka

Dhaka is the capital and the largest city of Bangladesh, holding up to 180 million residents. About Gopalganj

Gopalganj district is located in the south-central part of Bangladesh, under Dhaka division. The district has a rich historical heritage, and was named after Naba Gopal, the grandson of Rashmoni of Khatra landlord. The graveyard of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman, and St. Mathuranath is also located here. Some notable tourist attraction sites include: Kotali Fort, Orakandi Thagure Bari of Kashiani, Joy Bangla Pond of Gopalganj Sadar, Barni Baor of Gopalganj Sadar, Baganbari of Tungipara (Birds Sanctuary), the parental homestead of poet Sukanta in Kotalipara, Kort Mosque, Chander Bil, Khaner Par Lake, Lal Saplar Bil of Kotalipara, Upalpur Landlord House (currently Tafsil office), home of poet Sukanta Vattacharja, Bahutali Mosque, Uzanir Landlord Palace, etc.
